Scouting Bio for our Endowment Chairman David Munoz
David joined scouting in 1984 with
Troop 23, Our Lady of Angels in Brooklyn
after earning the Arrow of Light in Pack
23. In 1992 David went on to earn
the rank of Eagle Scout. David's
summer camp experience started in 1987
as a camper at Ten Mile River Scout
Reservation. The next summer,
1988, David joined camp staff as a CIT
for the Camp Keowa Staff. It was
that summer that changed David’s life,
and secured a place in his heart for
TMR. He then worked for the next
three summers at Camp Keowa’s
waterfront, with his final year as
Aquatics Director. David finished
his stint at Camp Keowa in 2002 as the
Program Director. David has
completed National Camp School for
Program and is a BSA Aquatic Instructor.
While not at summer camp and during
breaks from college, David worked for
GNYC in the finance department. In
Scouting, David is a Troop Committee
member for Troop 170 in the Bronx and
currently the Chair of the TMR
Sub-committee for the GNYC Camping
Committee. David currently is our
Endowment Chair.
Professionally, he is currently a
Senior Vice President of Investments for
UBS and resides in Croton-on-Hudson with
his wife Lorraine and daughter. |
