Many beautiful, interesting, old world charm attractions surround Ten Mile River. You may want to explore all that the Upper Delaware has to offer while you are in the region. If you would like to suggests additional locations please mail our Webmaster.

In Narrowsburg on Route 97, in the Peck's Plaza, you will find the nearest supermarket (Peck's) as well as a pharmacy, general store containing sporting goods with hunting/fishing licenses available, there is even a new computer/office store should you forget something for your laptop. Across from Peck's Plaza is Steve's gas station/diner/quick stop deli as well as Nancy's Dairy Stand, which is a hot stop in those summer months. A True Value hardware store, laundromat and car wash are all on the same road. On the main street in town there is a bank, post office, barber shop, various antique stores, and field station for the National Park Service. The River Reporter (www.riverrepoter.com) which is the local paper.  There is an automated laundromat and a hardware store in Narrowsburg.

For larger purchases the new 24 hour super Wal-Mart recently opened on Route 6 in Honesdale, Penn. and K-Mart is within walking distance. A movie theater, Pizza Hut, Chinese restaurant, Italian Pizzeria, sneaker store and a super market are also on Route 6.

The Roebling Bridge spans the Delaware in Minisink Ford.  Built by the designer of the Brooklyn Bridge, it bears a likeness on a much smaller scale.

The Carousel Park amusement center is  located in Beach Lake, Penn. on Route 652.  There are go carts, batting ranges, arcade games, miniature golf and more. It is only open during the warmer months of May to October.  Call ahead for hours.

Monticello is the county seat for Sullivan County.  It's a large town with many restaurants, two malls (Ames on Route 42 and Apollo Plaza on Broadway) movies and more.
